As you’ll see in this report, our state partners kept our vision of a future where all of us have the freedom to thrive alive across the country – from increasing the minimum wage and codifying paid sick leave in Missouri to protecting public schools in Kentucky.
Our state partners achieved these victories despite a billionaire-funded opposition that used the same divide-and-conquer playbook they have used for decades to thwart our efforts to build a just, multiracial democracy.
As we reflect on our work in 2024, we remember that the antidote to the opposition's playbook has been, and always will be, us. Here are some of We Make the Future’s highlights:
Trained 490 people through our workshops, building skills and capacity across the movement.
Provided $514,000 in “Implementation Boo$t” funding to 26 partner organizations — with more than half going to Black, AAPI, or Latine-led and serving organizations.
Collaborated on 6 research projects with 10 incredible partner organizations to ground our work in data.
Over 80% of our state partners gained a deeper understanding of messaging research because of our support.
