Climate Justice

Let’s make things better for generations to come.

Our climate narrative work seeks to expand how people understand the impact of climate change on their lives and squarely lay the blame for this disaster at the feet of greedy fossil fuel CEOs and the leaders who they pay to stand in the way of progress. Together, we are creating an America where each of us, regardless of our race or how much money we have in our wallets, has clean air to breathe and safe water to drink.

Starting in 2022, our Climate Cohort began laying the foundation for building a unified message that can be shared by climate advocates across the country. We want to help climate advocates mobilize a multi-state and multiracial movement of people to take action to achieve climate justice. Recently, this group embarked upon a journey with us towards finding the most effective ways to message on this issue.

Our Climate Messaging Research

We Make The Future’s Climate Cohort looked at three urgent research questions.

  1. How do we mobilize people to demand energy that’s not just clean, but in their hands, controlled democratically by a public board, committee, and/or community?

  2. How do we build support for solutions that benefit people of color among others most impacted by the climate crisis?

  3. What forms of advocacy are people most interested in taking after a climate disaster?
