Freedom To Learn

Children deserve the freedom to learn in happy and safe schools that celebrate every part of who they are.

Our families, communities, and futures depend on our children’s education. But today, a faction that pushes a narrative once used to justify segregating our schools is still trying to turn us against certain parents and teachers, so they can keep a loud minority enraged and hold onto power. They have blocked efforts for fair funding and pressed their agenda. As a result, Black, brown and low-income neighborhoods are denied resources and the safe environment and educational opportunities needed to thrive.

In partnership with labor and community organizing groups, we’ve worked to rewrite the rules so every neighborhood public school is a place where all children can learn, grow, and thrive.
